RuleDesigner has been applied to the configuration of insulating composite panels for the insulation of bodies of refrigerated trucks, trailers, campers and caravans. The sandwich panels, configurable both in size and in materials, represent a highly regularizable type of product and therefore suitable for use with the configurator.
The Client company automates the design of customized products through the use of configuration processes modeled with RuleDesigner which, driving the NX design software, generates the CAD geometries.
After a careful evaluation phase of the configurators on the market, the customer chose RuleDesigner Configurator for its reliability and for its high-performance features, as well as the only product capable of offering quality integration with Siemens CAD NX.
The team of evaluators was also impressed by the simple interaction approach of the module dedicated to the development and updating of rule-based processes that allows direct use by the holders of the know-how of the technical process. The configuration process supports the user in the guided entry of product data such as panel dimensions, scope of application, composite materials, type of coating, performance and resistance.
At the end of the configuration, the system produces the customized technical drawing, starting from a basic geometry, and produces the quotation with an estimate document, notifying the sales area and storing the data in the Visma ERP system.
