The configurator can be used for the configuration and automatic design of stairlifts.
In a project realized with RuleDesigner, the configuration process was organized in phases ranging from the definition of the product data, to the data relating to the floors to those relating to the ramps and individual steps.
The seller, by an easy to use web based form, is guided to entering the data relating to the customer's staircase on which the stairlift will be positioned; defines the floors, the flights of stairs and the measure of treads and riser of each step.
On the basis of entered data and of the minimum and maximum height regulatory constraints specified into the rule-based system, the configurator determines the right angle of descent from the ramps, producing: the 3D model of the staircase, of the guide (the latter is the part configurable of the product) and of the product for each stop (also calculating the size of the stairlift).
The bill of materials generated represents the basis for the sales quotation of the configured solution.
