Forklift Batteries and Cells configuration

RuleDesigner Configurator can be applied as a product configurator in the forklift battery sector. In this context, it is possible to create a process that guides the user in entering the technical requirements requested by the customer (such as power, battery box size, polarity …) to obtain a customized configuration, complete with technical and commercial documentation.

RuleDesigner Configurator interfaces with business applications, sometimes driving them, to process data and generate data and documents automatically. With RuleDesigner product configuration procedures can be contextualized in business processes thanks to an enterprise collaborative portal in charge of workflow management.

Below is a simple application example.

The configuration service, provided via website, simplifies and supports the activity of defining the battery pack to meet the customer requirements.
The insertion of the information necessary for the definition of the customized product takes place in a guided mode through selection fields. The selectable values are inherited from the company knowledge base (for example, price lists and product technical data) and processed through the rule-based software engine that is at the basis of the application.
In this specific case, given the dimensional requirements of the box that will host the battery pack, the battery polarity and the power required for the forklift truck operation, the system proposes the best suited battery cells by calculating the battery assembly scheme.

In the next step, the application proceeds with data processing and generates:
• 3D models (driving the CAD design system) by assembling the elements of the configured battery pack.
• 2D layout diagrams of the assembly of the battery elements
• bill of materials including the list of materials and processes necessary to create the product and the Commercial Kit with relative prices
• commercial documents with quotation and descriptive contents
